Broomlands farm

Class 3 enjoyed a day at Broomlands farm on an outdoor learning day led by Craig Taylor. They braved the elements and managed to stay reasonably dry and mud-free! Their activities involved den-making, dam-building and even cooking their own lunch. We have another evening and overnight stay to look forward to in a few weeks

Just a quick note to say that we arrived in Seville safely and have had a wonderful first day with plenty of sunshine and lots of walking!

Cook for the Queen

Year 6 are entering a competition to prepare a special Diamond Jubilee menu for he Queen at Buckingham Palace. They have been working with the staff at The Castle Inn .‘Local culinary experts’ were invited to taste and evaluate their creations.

Maths Team Challenge

Mr Hunter accompanied Holly and Meggie from Year 6 and Flo and Arielle from Year 5 to Tonbridge Girls’ Grammar school to take part in this year’s Maths Team Challenge.

The team came 5th out of 19 teams and were only 6 points away from the winning score. Each question was worth 5 points.

Inter-House Sports tournament

All of the Key Stage 2 children spent the afternoon on the sport’s field, taking part in inter-house sports matches.

Year 6 house captains organised teams for Tag Rugby, Football and Hockey. 5 oints was awarded for a win, 3 for a draw and 1 for a loss as well as 5 points per match
